OOC:
1.) This whole category sort of boils down to just be nice. If you get into an altercation with someone, try to rationally hash it out, and if you can't, alert me and I will try to set things straight. I'm actually a pretty good mediator.
2.) Do not swear at another player (or admin!) OOCly (IE. "You stupid bitch!" or what have you).
3.) The Admins and Moderators have created and are maintaining this game for you. Please show them due respect, they have rank for a reason.
AUTOBOTS:
1.) Your leader is Optimus Prime. You adhere to him entirely.
2.) Unless you're malfunctioning severely, no hurting humans! Number one Autobot rule on Earth.
3.) You may role-play out interfacing, but no human parts whatsoever on the robots! If you wish to RP out a more intimate thread, make a SEPARATE thread in "Elsewhere", stating in the topic where you are, and if the thread is open or not (I.E., "Abandoned warehouse, [open to anyone]"
4.) Sorry, but no explicit intimacy between Cybertronians/Humans. Let's keep this reasonably within the species, shall we?
5.) If you see a Decepticon, of course you can attack it. Just read the GODMODING and POWERPLAYING section below. But keep in mind, engaging an enemy may be more disastrous to the surrounding area than the Autobots are willing to do -- humans first, you must protect them from your war.
DECEPTICONS:
1.) You guys are lean, mean, killing machins bent on destruction. You hate the humans for destroying the Allspark and Megatron and thusly, you are allowed to attack the humans. SEE GODMODING/POWERPLAYING SECTION.
2.) If you see an Autobot, you may be less concerned about concealing yourself from the humans and more concerned about kicking some serious Autobot can. Just ensure to read the GODMODING/POWERPLAYING section below.
HUMANS:
1.) You can side with whoever you want.
2.) You don't necessarily abide by any one human, but if Defense Secretary Keller or William Lennox tells you to do something, you just might want to. They're in their positions for a reason.
3.) Intimacy is allowed human-human only thanks.
GOD MODING/POWERPLAYING:
This is a huge issue for me. First, allow me to define both of these terms for any who are unfamiliar with them:
God moding: Like it sounds, it suggests that your character is God. God moding means that you have a character who has no weakness, has a gun that can blow up the entire planet in a single shot, and is so fast that even a machine gun can't hit it. ACK. NO NO. For all characters out there, this is baaaaad. The movie was great in showing us that NO ONE is invicnible, no even the mighty and ever-powerful Megatron. I mean, Barricade got his ass whooped by Bumblebee.
Powerplaying: This is a little harder to explain in paragraph form, but here goes: Basically, this mostly revolves around active fighting within the game. Powerplaying refers to your character assigning damage to your opponent in battle. EXAMPLE, powerplaying is in italics.:
Barricade snarled, glaring balefully at the bright yellow form that was circling him. Just a little closer, just a little...ah! There! Bumblebee erronously stepped within striking distance and the Ford Mustang wasted not a second in taking advantage of it. A massive razor-sharp hand reached out, grasping the banana yellow of the Autobot's forearm, fingers digging into the armor. If it was at all possible, Barricade grinned at the Camaro's bestartlement, and slung him face first into the nearby building to kiss the crumbling walls.
...NO. BAD COP. NO DONUT. What Barricade should have done was this:
...grasping for the banana yellow of the Autobot's armor, hoping to dig in and feel the metal buckle beneath his hydrolic grip.
...and if he indeed had ahold, he opted to try to fling his taller but lighter opponent into the crumbling building only a few feet away.
It looks weird in writing, I know, but this is fair fighting. The first version doesn't allow Bumblebee's player any choice at all, but the second version gives him the opportunity to dodge Barricade's grip or wrench free if he cares to.
Powerplaying and godmoding are bigtime no-no's. If you're confused, don't be afraid to ask me, I don't bite.
IMPORTANT: keep a cap on the intimacy X-rated threads. That is NOT what the point of this game is. If there is excessive flucking among either humans or transformers I will rip the privalege and delete the offending threads. It's a privalege, not a right. Be mature about it and don't abuse it please.
